        1. Lua Branca (bassoon, piano)

These two pieces were originally composed in different contexts.  “Lua Branca,” of enchanting simplicity, is part of the “Forrobodó” opereta.  “O Corta-Jaca” is a batuque dance of an accentuated rhythmic character.  In edition of arrangements by Francisca Aquino and Ricardo Vasconcelos they are edited in one context, one offset against the other, and they appear this way in the recording as well.
